Rdio takes on Spotify with free ad-supported streaming for US users

The new trend for streaming services seems to be unlimited free streaming! Ad-supported of course. Spotify’s recent annoucement of removing all limits on the free version of Spotify must have shook up some things over at Rdio HQ. Rdio today announced it is making its music streaming service free on the Web for all US users. You can now access the companies 20 million songs without paying a dime. So who offers the best free service? Well that is hard to say considering both are almost identical. It has to come down to personal choice. Spotify does all free streaming on tablets now and shuffle mode on phones which Rdio is currently lacking. Both services unlimited paid plan cost $9.99 similarly priced to Google Play all-access which currently lacks a free streaming option (minus cloud uploads). So what is your personal method of listening? Downloading? Streaming? Or maybe you’re into vinyl.
