New BMW i3 Electric Car
During this week, BMW unveiled their newest concepts at the Los Angeles Auto Show. BMW has a program named ‘i’ which refers to alternative-fuel vehicles. The i3 will be powered by a huge lithium-ion batteries and will have 170-hp. The body module is made of aluminum; and there are three driving modes (COMFORT, ECO PRO and ECO PRO+) and an electric range of 100 miles with full charge. This is a very nice Coupe that was designed for maximum efficiency and performance.
The concept sits on 20-inch alloys and the interior has renewable raw materials, such as leather, wood and wool. The head of Electric Vehicle Operations & Strategy BMW of North America, Jacob Harb, says that the i8 and i3 models are only one generation away from being production ready. Experts think the i3 will revolutionize the car industry.
