Ouya kickstarter ends with $8.5 Million earned

Ouya (pronounced “oh yeah”) is a $99 “hackable” console that is powered by Android, and a Tegra 3 SoC. , designed by Yves Behar, who also designed the  Jawbone Jambox and One Laptop Per Child.  The company started a kickstarter program with a goal of $950,000. The soon-to-be Console quickly caught attention, and the kickstarter fundraiser ended today, exceeding their target goal by nearly 805 percent. Company/teams such as Vevo, TuneIn, XBMC and Square Ex have already pledged support for the console. In my opinion XBMC, and the fact that it runs Android are reasons enough for it being worth its $99 price tag. We talked about ouya before, when the kickstarter fundraiser nearly just started, here.

Are you going to buy a Ouya, when they ship in April? Did you already pledge your $99 on kickstarter? leave a comment below telling us why or why not.
