LG Optimus G revealed
The LG Optimus G is packing a serious punch here, with its Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC, LTE, 2gb RAM, 13 MP camera and awesome 4.7″ gapless AH-IPS HD display. Those are some hefty specs LG has brought to the table, and easily one of the best devices, spec wise to be released/announced. The quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro in the Optimus G is one serious chip, with its 4 Krait cores, and Adreno 320 GPU this phone is incredibly powerful, and really can’t be matched by any other manufactures SoC, until the manufactures start using the Cortex A15 or use a custom architecture like Qualcomm (Krait). LG’s new phone is running Android 4.0 with LG’s Optimus 3.0 UI which is quite an improvement from the companies previous UI’s. Japan’s carrier Docomo has been the first to announce that they will launch this phone. Although the Optimus G will be arriving first in Korea in September and not in Japan until October or November. Qualcomms supply chain is having some shortages but Docomo has secured the first batch of this phone. Docomo states that a waterproof phone was highly requested, and they are stating that there version of the phone will have a waterproof coating, well the international version currently will not.
